As an artist living in this unhinged
world, I respond by working with materials that harness gravity
as an active element. Using materials that would otherwise become
landfill, such as discarded bowling balls, I repurpose them to
function as conceptual reminders of delicately balanced or potentially
destructive forces both natural and political.
I attended the California College of the Arts for my BFA and UC Berkeley in 1993 for my MFA.
My studio is in Berkeley CA, next to the railroad tracks.
